We've been installing replacement windows for over 30 years. Vinyl has come a long way. Even wood interiors are available, or paintable/stainable woodgrain laminates. We have vinyl installations going back 25 years that are still going strong. Like anything in life, if you buy quality it lasts. Not all vinyl windows are at the same quality level just like any other product. The best value for the money (including energy efficiency and Tax Credits) is still vinyl. I agree.
