Polishing Your Baseboards
It often goes unnoticed at how much damage can be done to baseboards. Overtime, you will begin to notice that there are scratches and scraps along them. Baseboards need to be taken care and polished of a couple times a year. This is so that they will continue to look good through out your home.
Keeping your baseboards looking new can be a real simple project. You simply need to clean them with soap and water to remove any grime and dirt that might have built up on them over time. Dirt can accumulate here very quickly. It can also be hard to remove if you have a lot of space between your flooring and the baseboards. You may have to use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dirt.
After you have finished cleaning your baseboards with the soap and water, you will want to use a wood polish. This will help bring the shine back to baseboards that have been damaged or scratched. Polishing your baseboards can really change the appearance of any room. If you remember to do this a couple of times a year, it will extend the life of your baseboards.
